You are correct that any
Disney dining plan can be added to a Disney Resort hotel reservation which includes park tickets. Are you taking advantage of the
Free Dining & Drinks offer for 2025? The same rules apply to that offer too. For stays at any
Disney Deluxe Resort hotel (including Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge), you would receive the Disney Dining Plan (not the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan).
From your question, it sounds like you haven't booked a package including park tickets? If that is the case you normally wouldn't be eligible to add a dining plan, or receive a free dining plan.
However, your third party might have some sort of special offer that includes a dining plan, but you will need to speak to them directly to clarify your booking. I'm sorry I can't help you, but if you book with a third party it's only that agent who can help with this.
