I keep reading in various books and resources about Disney, that we should NOT bring bags into the parks. Idea being to be less weighed down. But I have 4 kids ages 12 to 3, and I thought maybe bringing a small bag w/ water/snacks. Your expert thoughts?

    Hi Kristen!

We always travel with bags.  Ideally, we have a backpack that we carry our camera in, and a backpack that we carry other incidentals in--this is how we've toured the parks even before we had kids!  We also travel with a stroller, so we put things like extra bottles of water and rain gear in there.

I absolutely think that bringing a small bag with water, snacks, Tylenol or Motrin, sunscreen, and rain gear is a great idea!  As long as your backpack doesn't look like you're going on a 3 week trek in the Himalayas, you'll be fine.

Keep in mind that each park has lockers that are available for rent, and can come in handy if you feel weighed down.

    Have a magical vacation!
