Hello, I keep reading different things. At prix fixe meals such as Topolino’s Terrace breakfast is it all you care to eat? Or is it one entree per guest? Thank you!

Hey there, Alexis. Thanks for visiting us here at planDisney with your question.

A few months ago, I dined at Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera for breakfast and had such a wonderful time. I think you will be happy to know that at this dining location, and others similar to it,  you actually can order more than one entree if you so choose. Prix fixe menus work just about the same as an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal, you are just choosing a few things to enjoy from the menu rather than have everything brought to your table at once.

Breakfast starts off with a delicious basket of pastries and bread with accompaniments like hazelnut spread, butter and strawberry preserves. My table devoured these breakfast sweets and our server was more than happy to replenish them throughout our meal. In fact, he noticed we all really enjoyed the pastry with apple filling and brought a majority of those in our next basket. For my main dish, I went with the Quiche-Gruyere with house-made pancetta, roasted potatoes, and a field green salad with lemon vinaigrette. Let me just tell you, this was absolutely delicious. However, are you really at Walt Disney World if you don't have Mickey waffles for breakfast? I think not! So on top of my very grown-up breakfast order, I also ordered the Mickey and Minnie Waffle Dippers off of the kid's menu. Not only were these waffles delicious, but they are also served on a stick with a cupcake liner on the bottom and it made for some really cute pictures! My friends at the table also customize their meals adding different breakfast meats and having their eggs cooked just perfectly for them. Our server thought we needed to try the sour cream waffle and decided to bring that out for us too. There really is no limit to what you can order, but I'd say pick one or two things to try first and then order more if you are hungry since the portions are entree-sized and not snack-sized.

I thought I should mention that if you do choose to have breakfast with Mickey and the gang at Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera, character meals are looking a little bit different these days. Characters no longer greeting Guests table by table for autographs and selfies. Instead, Mickey and friends will dance and wave around the restaurant posing for physically distanced photos throughout the morning. I actually got some of the cutest (physically distant) selfies I've ever gotten with my girl, Minnie Mouse at this restaurant a few months ago. Her being further away from me allowed me to get all of her Riviera-inspired outfit in the shot and her different poses really showed off her personality. Even though the characters don't approach individual tables anymore, everyone who wanted it got some attention from their favorites and had a really great time.

This restaurant, and others like it, are a great way to try a few new menu items while enjoying foods you know you love, Alexis. I hope this helped clear up any confusion. If you have other questions before your trip, I'm here to help

    Enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
