Hi. I keep all our plans on the My Disney Experience phone app and organise everything from there. But given the need to be quick with Genie+ reservations at 7am can my husband create a MDE account and link it to our booking so he can book rides etc too?

    Hiya Karen!

Welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet! As a fellow international Guest, I am so excited that you came to us for your question, and I cannot wait for you and your family to experience the magic of the 50th-anniversary celebrations. You have also picked an especially spooky time to visit. Indeed, Disney likes to celebrate early, so you might be there just in time for the Halloween season!

When planning a Disney vacation, especially once you are in Florida and want to make quick plans, the My Disney Experience is an absolute must-have. I am also so glad that you have decided to add the magic of the Disney Genie+ to your vacation! With a whole new world of possibilities for you to discover, Disney Genie+ is sure to help you make the most of your vacation. To answer your question, your husband can absolutely download the My Disney Experience app and join in on the Genie fun! First, make sure that his theme park ticket is linked to his account. Simply click on the three lines at the bottom-right of your screen and click on "Tickets and Passes." Then click on the plus sign and "Link Tickets & Passes." Second, go into your "Family & Friends List" in the "My Profile" tab and click on "Add a Guest." You will then be able to enter your husband's information, so make sure that you enter the email associated with his account. Once you are connected to each other's Family & Friends List, he will be able to make plans for you! Make sure to repeat these steps for everyone in your party.

Now, Karen, let's talk about all the spooky fun you will be able to experience this upcoming Halloween season. Since the 2022 offerings have not yet been announced, here are some of my personal favourites from the past years. I would highly recommend spending the night at Magic Kingdom Park for one of the special after-hours events. With its themed fireworks, spooky entertainment, unique treats and celebratory merchandise, this is an event you will not want to miss. Make sure to watch out for the Sanderson Sisters, though, as they like to cast spells on you! Also, keep an eye out for spooky treats across the Walt Disney World Resort! I always need to get a Halloween Minnie caramel apple from the Main Street Confectionery

I hope this was helpful, Karen, and that you and your family will have the best day ever on your upcoming Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your trip, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are always happy to help!

Have a magical day and boo to you,
