I keep hearing people talk about Chef Mickey's. Is that something for the kids where they can go cook w/Mickey? I think my kids would love that, but I can't figure out how to book it. Thanks for your hep!

    Hi Lesley!

I just wanted to give you an extra special, pixie dusted, gigantic THANK YOU!  I am so beyond thrilled to be back on the Moms Panel and your question is my first one...Please accept this virtual hug from me!!!
You are right - your kids will adore Chef Mickeys; however, it isn't quite what you are anticipating.  Rather, It is a character meal that features a fabulous buffet served during both the breakfast and dinner hours.  Many great characters are in attendance, but of course, the main draw is the big cheese himself, Chef Mickey!  My family loves this meal and we make it a priority to eat here every visit - I have probably eaten half of my weight in parmesan mashed potatos - YUM!  The restaurant is located inside the Contemporary Resort and you can even watch the world famous monorails glide silently above you while you eat.
If you click here, you will be taken to the Walt Disney World Dining online booking page.  You will see an orange rectangle labeled "Make a Reservation" - simply click it and book your meal online.  Or you can always do it the old fashioned way and call 1-407-WDW-DINE.  Whichever method you choose, remember that this meal can be booked up to 180 days in advance.  It is one of the most popular restaraunts on property and well worth the one dining credit from the dining plan.
Enjoy every napkin waiving, finger licking second of your meal!
