I keep hearing conflicting information about the Disneyworld resort transportation. If I'm staying at the Swan, how long can I expect it will take me to get to the gates at Magic Kingdom?

    Hi, Gina!

Transportation times can vary based on many factors: wait time for the bus (buses run about every 20 minutes), stopping at other resorts, loading guests with wheelchairs or ECVs, or just good old traffic. In a perfect world, once on the bus you should be getting dropped of at the Magic Kingdom in less than 25 minutes. But, my suggestion is to allow 1 hour to factor in those wait times for the bus and other factors that can be unavoidable.

Do not let this advice make you second think your resort choice. These bus transportation variables will happen regardless of which resort you select. Usually, the buses are efficient but I dislike rushing or being late so I always pad in some extra time.

The really good news is that from the beautiful Swan Resort you can walk to either Disney's Hollywood Studios or Epcot. Boat transportation is also available to these 2 theme parks but walking is probably the most efficient. You will also be able to stroll the BoardWalk, or even pop over to the Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Beach Club. So, as you can see, your resort is in a great location!

Enjoy your stay at Walt Disney World.

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
