Kaylene, I think we are finally ready to make reservations for accommodations next year and are interesting in knowing when the 2011 Value Season dates will be posted. Thank you.”
Hi again, Ellen!
According to Disney's Reservation Center, the 2011 Value Season dates
may not be posted until November of this year. However, to give you an
idea, the 2010 Seasonal dates are as follows:
Value Season: runs from January
3-6, January 10-14, January 18-February 11, July 18-September 30, and
November 28-December 16.
Regular Season: April 11-July 1, July 5-17, October 1-7, and October 11-November 13.
Peak Season: February 15-March 27 (this includes Spring Breaks throughout the country except for much of New England).
Holiday Season: January 1-2, January 7-9 (WDW
Marathon), January 15-17 (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday),
February 12-14 (President's Day), March 28-April 10 (Easter), July 2-4,
October 8-10 (Columbus Day Weekend), November 24-27 (Thanksgiving) and
December 17-January 1(Christmas/New Year's).
You mentioned in a previous post that you are planning on an April trip. If so, then
you'll want to pay close attention to where Easter falls next year, because that will make the difference between Regular Season and Holiday Season rates. A
quick internet search showed me that while it is April 4th this year,
it is April 24th in 2011. I'm not sure when Maine has their Spring Break, but for our town in Massachusetts it is the 3rd week of April. With Easter falling so late next year, this means that most likely it will be Holiday rates (and crowds) during our Spring Break. This is definitely something to take into consideration when planning an April trip.
You are able to make a room-only reservation up to 500 days in advance. So, you could book a room for April, 2011 now. This will hold the room for you, but the rates will not be set for it until sometime around November (according to Disney).
Hope this helps and that you have a Happy Easter!
Kaylene
