Hi kaylene if all go well we land in mco at 12;10 have a early dinner at the Trex for 4:30 would we have time to go for a swim at our resort and hit DTD in time for dinner staying at POP if that helps thanks so much for all the help :D

    Hi Mindi,

I've been thinking about your timeline for a little while, and as much as I'd love to tell you that you'll have time to swim...I just don't feel comfortable with it. Here's why:

When you land at the airport, plan on at least 20-30 minutes just to get off the plane and get to the Magical Express counter. You'll then get in line, check-in & then wait in another line for a bus. Then the bus will stop at several resorts (maybe you'll be lucky and you'll be first...and maybe not). I always budget 3 hours total from the time my plane lands to when I expect to get to my resort. Sometimes, I hit everything right & I'm way ahead of that, and other times, it has taken 3 hours. So, let's take the middle case scenario and say 2 hours. You need to check-in at T-Rex 15 minutes before your reservation time and you'll need to walk from the bus stops to the restaurant. So, plan to arrive at Downtown Disney by 4:00. You should also always give yourself an hour from the time you get to a bus stop at your resort until you want to arrive at a Park or Downtown Disney. This is because the buses come approximately every 20 minutes. You never know if you just missed one (so you'll be waiting a while) or if one is coming around the bend (so you'll be ahead of schedule). So, when all is said and done, in the "2 hour arrival from airport scenario" that I mentioned above, you would have maybe 30 minutes to jump in the pool, dry off, change and head to Downtown Disney. That's cutting it pretty tight. I don't know about you but my hair frizzes big time in the Florida humidity so I need a half hour just to calm it down after swimming, LOL.

You may hit everything just right & be ahead of the schedule, so throw some swim suits in your carry-on bag. If timing works out, by all means, jump in the pool. Just be sure to be out at the bus stop by 3:00-3:15 at the latest to be on time for your dinner.

Hope this helps! Have a wonderful vacation,
