Hi kaylene. We are doing as many breakfasts in the parks as possible. Since the earliest seating is often at park opening time on emh days, is it better to go on a non-emh day? Are parks busier on emh days? Ex: tusker house, crt, crys palace; hollywood v

    Hi Julie,

Personally, if I'm doing an early breakfast (prior to park opening), I like to go on a non-Extra Magic Hours (EMH) day. Otherwise, by the time we're done with breakfast, the parks are quite crowded which defeats the purpose of getting in early and shooting to be finished eating by rope drop. Parks tend to be extra crowded on EMH mornings. Lately, my family has taken advantage of EMH in the evenings as many guests fizzle out and head back to their rooms by then. However, since you mentioned in a previous question that you are traveling with little ones, that plan likely won't work for you. So, in a nutshell, here is what I recommend for your family:

Make Advanced Dining Reservations for early (before park opening) breakfasts in parks that don't have EMH. You'll find that the parks will tend to be less crowded when you are done eating than they would have been if a whole bunch of early EMH guests were pouring in to the park while you're dining.

As a side note: breakfast at the Crystals Palace and the Tusker House are my family's "must do" on every WDW vacation! The character interaction is fantastic at both places. Be sure to try the "Pooh Toast" at the Crystal Palace. Also, when you are done eating at the Tusker House, head left and immediately go on the Kilimanjaro Safari. The animals tend to be most active in the morning.

Please let me know if I can assist you further and have a wonderful vacation,
