Hello Kay! What time would be a good time to "hop" to another park during the food and wine festival? DD6 and DD3, so we would rather avoid rowdy crowds, but we are looking forward to the fine fare and sights!

Hi Steven! The Epcot Food and Wine Festival is something many guests look forward to each year. It has grown extensively in the past ten years and with the new food booths as well as the great entertainment it truly is a must for many to add this event to their vacation plans.

For many reasons I suggest you visit the Festival starting at 11am when the World Showcase opens. You will find the lines for the special food booths at their lowest and likely no lines at all. It is easy to navigate from country to country as the crowds haven't arrived yet. You can easily spend a couple of hours walking around this part of Epcot.

The crowds will increase and get a bit more "happy" in the evening. If the entertainment is important for you to see then I would schedule the first performance into your plans and leave the park after that. If you don't care about who is performing then leave after your visit at mid day.  I also suggest families avoid the park on the weekends.

It is easy to park hop to Hollywood Studios from Epcot and especially the World Showcase. Arrive at Epcot at opening and enjoy many of the attractions in Future World until the World Showcase opens at 11am. Visit as long as you wish and then head over to the International Gateway entrance which is located between the United Kingdom and France. Exit here and you will see the area to catch the Friendship Boat which will take you to the entrance to Hollywood Studios. They depart about every 20 minutes and make a few stops at resorts before arriving at the park. If you wish you can then return to Epcot later to view the wonderful Illuminations show by taking a boat back to the entrance. It would be a full day but one filled with great options and easy to handle. Have fun!
