Hi Kay, Thanks again! I saw a video where the kids need to be "chosen" to participate in the academy. Is it like that or it depends on who arrives earlier and is before in the line? My kids will be really disappointed if they do not get chosen...

Hi Michelle......I would also be totally stressing about something that my kids or grandkids wanted to do while at Disney. You don't want to build them up to have them disappointed that is for sure! When I had the long talk with the cast member outside the sign up area for Jedi Training in Hollywood Studios she implied that although the children are "chosen" the biggest determining factor is who arrives to sign up the earilest. The slots will be gone by mid morning on most days thus the recommendation to head there as soon as the park opens. She stated that they will not "choose" shy and withdrawn children for the experience. It is important that all kids who participate are willing to perform or the training isn't as affective for the entire group. That is why they state that they have the option to "choose". I know one of my grandchildren would easily be chosen but the other maybe not due to some shyness. I think this will be the toughest issue for you as if one child is accepted and the other is not what will you do to ease the pain. Be prepared with another magical option just in case. Luckily Disney is full of magic and if it isn't Jedi Training it can be Pirates League, a Pirates Firworks Cruise, Sea Raycer rental, or even a guided fishing trip! It is a great experience and I feel you have to try for your children no matter what. You know them best and I am sure you wouldn't even be thinking about this if you didn't think they could enjoy the Jedi Academy. So go for it! I'm feeling positive vibes for two kids who love the Jedi's!
