Hi Kay B! Will be staying at Wilderness Cabins with my sister's family, my parents, DH & DS.Noticed you rec 2100 loop, when can I request this?Already have linked res for 2 cabins. Should I call ahead to confirm that we need them close?Any other tips?

Hi Cynthia! So excited you and your family will be enjoying our favorite spot at Walt Disney World, Fort Wilderness Resort. The cabins are fun and it gives you such a unique experience in resort accommodations. Yes, I do love the 2100 Loop as it is a smaller loop and we love the location closer to the outposts and main pool. It is still a walk but not an impossible one and you have sidewalks the entire way. Plus you can use the internal bus system where the stop is just out front of the loop.

You can request this loop when you make your reservation. If you have made it already simply call the central reservation number, 407-WDISNEY, and have them add your request. If you want to be side by side or close to another cabin reservation you can request that as well. If you can get the second reservation number it will help with the linking versus just having the reservation name. All this can be done over the phone.

Since the cabins have full kitchens I suggest you consider a grocery delivery service to stock the shelves. I order through gardengrocer.com. You register with them and your order must be a minimum of $40 but honestly that doesn't take much these days. You can put one order in for both cabins and they will deliver to one spot where you can separate it at your leisure. Just remember to pay attention to what you order....once I accidentally ordered ten pounds of bananas instead of ten bananas! When I walked into the cabin all I saw were bunches of bananas everywhere! I ended up giving them to bus drivers and housekeepers and anyone who would take them off my hands!

Enjoy and let me know if you have any further questions about the great Fort Wilderness!
