HI Kay! You previously gave me great advice on a question a few weeks ago about the weather in the last week of Nov/first week of Dec. I was hoping u could give me advice on crowd levels at that time too, in DW since you've been many years that time

Welcome back Shawna!  We always loved heading to Disney during Thanksgiving week as if we had to pull kids from school this was the best holiday to do it for the crowds. Of course other families have caught on so to find a time when there are no lines in any park has become just about impossible. But with great planning and care you can navigate it all and see it all without stress!

This year the last week of November is actually not part of the Thanksgiving week so it will be considered a "least crowded" week which means the parks will have lines with very little waits. Of course the most popular attractions should always be seen via the Fast Pass system to assure you of the best use of your time.

One thing you must keep in mind is the taping of the Magic Kingdom Christmas parade. In 2011 this was filmed the weekend of December 3/4.  If it follows the past few years the taping likely could be weekend of December 1/2.  This has not officially be announced so it is speculation to give you an idea of crowds.  During the taping weekend the Magic Kingdom will become a heavily attended park and some of the other parks will feel the overflow of guests.  If you choose to come the week before just make sure you have visited the Magic Kingdom early in the week.  If you choose the first week of December then wait a couple of days to let the crowds dissipate in the Magic Kingdom. Both weeks are great weeks to visit and usually are about equal in crowds.

If you are planning a Thanksgiving week visit understand that the early part of the week will be the best time to visit the parks as the crowds are not great yet. Starting Thanksgiving day you will really see a jump in the size of attraction lines and usually also the weekend after as many local guests will come for a quick two day visit with family.

Hope this information helps you choose the best time for a great Disney vacation with your family.
