Hi Kay, planning trip to WDW for 3/4-3/8/2011(Mardi Gras holiday down South). How are the crowds during this time of year? 2nd visit with DH & DSs(8&5). When will I be able to start making ADRs? Last visit was 11/2009. Love the Moms(Dads) panal.

Hey Melanie!  So excited you are planning another Disney trip.  I have a countdown going for my next trip in October!

The first part of March is usually a good time to come.  With Mardi Gras you will find quite a few guests escaping New Orleans when the rest of the country is heading in their direction. But schools are generally not on spring break yet so the major crowds don't start until mid March. Of course it is impossible to know from year to year so you just make the reservation and go with it and hope for the best!

The weather becomes warm enough to start thinking of some serious swimming. The average temperature range is between 56 and 79 degrees.  When packing remember to bring light weight jackets or sweaters as the early mornings and evenings can still be chilly.

You can start making your Advanced Dining Reservations 180 days from your check-in date. That would put you at about the first week of August so start making your plans and have them ready to either call the Disney dining number at 407-939-3463 or do it on line at www.disneyworld.com.

    Enjoy the planning process!
