    Hi Laura! I am not sure my specialty is anything in particular but instead just a love and passion to do whatever Disney offers for a great vacation!

    I had the pleasure of experiencing the Animal Kingdom's newest tour, the Wild Africa Trek, on opening day. I was a bit nervous as I am not good with any type of swinging bridge and knew this was ahead of me on the tour. But it was so fantastic that by the time I got to the bridge I made it over without trouble. Well....just a little trouble! I had a watch on and suddenly directly over the crocodiles it came loose and I had to make a decision-let go of the side rope of the bridge which I was holding tightly to and fix my watch or see it drop into the crocodile area. All I could think of was the scene from Peter Pan where the crocodile ate the clock! I opted to save the watch and made the rest of the trek safely.

    With all that said I suggest you keep jewelry to a minimum and make sure everything is secure including hats and cameras. The tour is amazing and you will have the chance to see hippos up close and learn great facts about so many of the animals in the safari area. I loved the fact that you had a private vehicle that could go where the others could not. You will get much closer to animals and can actually go find them if they are not in the open.  You will stop at an awesome "oasis" for either a light breakfast or lunch. It is delicious and served in a unique way.  Whatever you do be sure and use the restroom at this stop. I don't think Disney has any bathroom as nice on property! The jewels and tile work is unbelievable!

    This tour is a must for all animal lovers. Your son will surely love this experience and you can leave your camera at home and just enjoy as they will provide you with a photo cd of you and the animals on your trek!  Enjoy!
