Hi Kay ! This is Karin again - three days before our depart to Disney. I've got just one more question: Are fins allowed in the water parks ? You helped me so much with your answers so I hope you can aswer this also as quickly as the others. Thanks a lot

Karin, you must be so excited about your Disney trip! Hopefully you are just about packed and ready to go!

I checked with several sources about the use of fins at the water parks and the consensus is that they would not be allowed.  For the most part the parks are made up of many different water attractions meaning slides and raft rides as such.  Fins could prove to be a danger to the safety of the guest as well as damaging to the equipment.  At Typhoon Lagoon where you can swim with the sharks you are provided with fins and snorkel equipment so it would not be necessary to bring your own from home especially since you are traveling so far.

It is highly recommended that the guests bring and wear some sort of water shoes for their day in the park.  Many of the pool surfaces are rough especially the wave pool and it makes it much more enjoyable to have this protection for your feet.  If you don't have water shoes at home there will be places in the park that sell them.

The Florida weather is cooperating with your plans to spend time at the water parks. It remains hot and humid with those occasional thunder storms in the afternoon so head out early to get the most of your day in the water!  I am sure you will have an amazing and magical vacation.....Walt Disney World truly is the best vacation destination around the world for families! Have a great flight!
