Hi Kay, hope you enjoyed your recent trip to fw, thanks for answering Q about cabin loops. Do you have any inside knowledge about movie schedules for April? can you tell me more about the crafts/build a button & tie dye t shirt activities (dd's 5, 8

Hi Nicola! Gearing up for another type of Disney trip now, Adventures By Disney, and heading to the wilds of Africa over the peace of Fort Wilderness!

I waited to see if they would announce the movies for April but they have not and wanted to get back to you sooner then later. It should be any time now. You can keep checking at some of the on line sites or call Fort Wilderness directly at 407-824-2837. You will get a schedule and listing of the movies when you check in so make sure you go through your packet.

The pool activities such as the crafts are lots of fun and if you have time during the day and you choose not to go to the parks your kids can find plenty of fun right there in the Fort. They will either be held at the pool area or the Bike Barn which is right next door. Generally the crafts are from 11am-1pm and then again from 4:30pm-6pm. Sometimes they are more games then crafts and they always change from week to week, month to month but again they will be listed  on the recreation activities sheet in your packet. There is a small fee for things like the t-shirts and buttons to cover the cost of the materials. You can use your room charge key to pay for these activities. Some of the games they might enjoy include trivia, singing, twister, bingo. kickball, and pin trading.

And don't forget the pool dance party around 2:30 each day! There is enough to do at Fort Wilderness that you can forget about a park for at least one day of your vacation. Don't forget a visit to the stables near Pioneer Hall. Your little ones might enjoy a pony ride too!
