Hi Kay! 47 days to WDW! When we have an 8:00 breakfast res in a park, what is the bag check like? Will we know where to go? Will lines for this be long? How much time should we allow? Getting soooo excited! Thanks!

Hi Christine!!!  My count down is at 37 now!!!!!!!  We both have a great trip to look forward to and the trip will be here before we know it.

Depending on the opening time for the park will depend on the lines for both bag check and entrance.  If the park you are trying to get into doesn't open until 9:00 a.m. then you shouldn't have any problem getting there and getting in without a long line at either location.  If the park opens at 8:00 a.m. then you need to plan more time for the lines.

Bag check lines can tend to get long. You can't miss them as all guest traffic basically has to move through them before they reach the park entrances.  I suggest you remove all packages and bags from your strollers and have your bags and purses open for inspection before you get to the front of the line.  Take a good look and pick the line that doesn't seem to have a lot of people there with big bags, strollers etc.  And then just be patient...it is there for our security and protection.  I have never waited more then 5 minutes for one of these lines so if it is extraordinarily crowded maybe 10 minutes!

Once you are through with this line look to the far right or left for special lines/entrances for early dining reservations.  I can't remember which side for each park but the last time I was there the Animal Kingdom had that line on the far right.  There will be a cast member there to check your name off the list and allow you to enter the park early.

Check with your resort when you check in to see what they recommend for timing on the busses from your resort to the park you have dining reservations for.  From there give yourself about a 15-20 window to get into the park and walk to the restaurant.  Sometimes guests forget that they still have to get to the dining location once they reach the park entrances and then they end up running to try to meet their time.
