Hi kathie family plans to come to wdw 2 times in the next 12 mos. Can you tell me which would be the better deal annual pass w/park hopper no water pk or 10 day no exp.w/pk hopper no waterpk 2 adults and 2 kids thanks
Hi!
Great question!
If we talk ticket prices only, the comparison is actually pretty close, with the annual passes coming out as the better deal IF you plan on spending at least 10 days in the parks.
- Adult Annual Pass: approximately $520 after tax (kids are about $460 currently)
- 10 day Park Hopper with No Expiration (so those extra days don't expire 14 days after your first use!): approximately $578 after tax (kids are about $501 currently)
But, one other great benefit of the Annual Pass is discounts! Disney World usually offers its annual passholders discounts at resorts. Often these can be a great savings. Another discount perk can often be found at World of Disney and participating shops - by presenting your pass you can often save 10% on your purchases.
One my favorite parts about being an Annual Passholder is the Tables in Wonderland card which you're eligible to purchase. Even though its currently costs about $75, the savings quickly add us as you'll save 20% on food and beverages (including alcoholic beverages) at most restaurants and lounges. The card is good the cardholder and 9 guests - so you can see how quickly the savings add up.
Of course, I have to warn you... with an annual pass you may find yourself thinking about getting away to Disney World more often! The first year we purchased passes for the family, two planned trips magically became six! We spent every free moment at the parks (hey, not such a bad idea, if you ask me!)!
Hope this helps! Have fun!
