Hi Kari K. I just saw your post re:TS vs CS & you've got me thinking DDP might be too much food for us(DS4,DD2.5). Was originally planning TS brkfst & TS dinner (CS lunch) b/c to me CS sounds less healthy/fresh. what do you think? hard to tell f

Howdy Julie!!  Thanks so much for your question.  I have been "polling" friends and family...the majority of those I talked to select the Dining Plan, while there are still a handful that love the Deluxe Dining Plan!

If you are concerned there will be too much food on the Deluxe Dining Plan, you probably have similar dining habits to us and I would go with your instinct.  If, however, when you are planning your meals, you find yourself filling in with other table service meals, look at what you may spend and make the call at that point.  You might find that the Deluxe Dining Plan is the perfect fit for you.

One quick note regarding counter service restaurants:  while you will still find hamburgers, hot dogs and french fries, you will also find several healthy options.  The chefs at Walt Disney World have done an amazing job with the menus in the last few years.  You might check out the menus from some of the counter service restaurants you think you might visit and see what options you will have.

I think my biggest challenge, regardless of the dining plan we choose, is that I need to have some self-control when I am at the restaurants.  Just because a dessert is included in our plan, I don't have to order one (though they are so tempting...).

I don't know if I have answered your question or just caused more confusion. Think about your typical dining habits, give yourself a little room to splurge and I think you will be able to select the plan that is best for you and your family.

If you need further information, please let me know.  Thanks so much for all of the questions you have submitted to the Panel.  Have a magical day!!!
