Hi Karen! We our taking our first cruise in May on the Dream but it's only 3 nights and I'm worried we won't have enough time to enjoy the boat, therefore we're limiting our off boat adventures in Naussa. What would you suggest for 4-5 hours at this port?

    Hi Tracey,

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  I am not afraid to admit that often times we make the ship our destination, which means we don't even disembark in Nassau anymore.  I love having the ship practically to ourselves, and really enjoy that extra time onboard.

If you feel strongly that you need to experience Nassau, I would recommend doing the Ardastra Gardens and City Tour or the Nassau Forts & Junkanoo Discovery tour.  These are relatively short adventures (2-3 hours) that will give you the opportunity to learn about this port of call.  If you prefer not to commit to a port adventure, there is shopping within walking distance to the ship.  Within a short amount of time you can "experience" Nassau and it's local flavor, yet head back to the ship as soon as you are ready.  If you are more interested in water sports, I recommend booking these types of adventures on Castaway Cay - and spend your Nassau day onboard.

Good luck with your decision - I hope this helps!
