Hi Karen. You seem to be the "go-to" cruise person. I had asked this earlier but did not get an answer..hoping you will be able to. Have booked Dream next May and will drive to Cape. Need name of safe, good hotel in the area. Don't mind 10 mile r

    Hi Anzia,

Welcome to the Moms Panel - and I'm glad you came back with your question!  There are several hotels within close proximity to the port, and many offer "Park and Cruise" packages that allow you to leave your car at the hotel while you are on your cruise.  Personally I prefer to park right at the port terminal, it will cost about $15 per day - but having your car in a secure lot and being able to hop in your car and go after you disembark (without having to wait for a shuttle) is priceless.

Within three miles of port, these are typically the most popular resorts among cruisers:
    • Raddison  http://www.radisson.com/capecanaveralfl
    • Country Inn and Suites  http://www.countryinns.com/capecanaveralfl
    • Marriott Residence Inn http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/mlbri

Having never stayed at the port myself, I would suggest that you utilize a website such as Travelocity or Hotels.com to read reviews and find more detail before you book.

It's also worth noting that these resorts are not near the beach.  If an ocean view is a factor, I suggest looking at resorts on Cocoa Beach.

    I hope this helps!
