Hi Karen! Going in Nov. Want to do GF pirate cruise after BF at 1900. Staying at Pop. Will this work? Also thinking dinner at GF same day before VMCP, but not sure if worth staying at resort all day for (trying to minimize travel) Boys 9,5 Girl 1 Thanks!

    Hi Jennifer,

Welcome to the Moms Panel! November is a great month for visiting Walt Disney World.  The Pirate Adventure is for children only, ages 4-12 so you and the little lady will have plenty of time to explore the resort while the boys are off searching for treasures.  Once the boys return around 11:30 a.m., I would be willing to bet you'll be looking for a change of scenery.

Although it requires a 10-12 minute bus ride, I would suggest heading over to Downtown Disney (you can catch a bus directly from the Grand Floridian), this is my favorite non-park place to visit.  There is no charge for admission, but there is plenty to see and do.  We could easily spend an afternoon in Once Upon A Toy store and the Lego Imagination Station.  You could then dine at either T-Rex or Rainforest Cafe before heading back to the Magic Kingdom for the party.  Guests holding tickets to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will be admitted to the park any time after 4:00 p.m.  Simply take a bus back to the Grand Floridian, then head upstairs to take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom.

If this sounds a little busier than you hoped, I would suggest heading back to your resort so you can swim, rest & relax before your late night out.

    I hope this was helpful!
