Hi Karen, we live in MA and are visting Disney World in August. What types of breakfast items and snacks do you find ship well (for daughters 5 and 8) and what specific information should I put on the label? We're staying at the CBR. So excited!!!!

    Hi Kathleen,

This is a great question!  By shipping myself a package of snacks and goodies we save a lot of time and money during our vacation.

Here are a few things I found that pack and ship well:
    • Mini muffins (individual size)
    • Nutra-Grain Bars (pack them in a plastic container to prevent them from crushing)
    • Granola bites
    • Single serving boxes of cereal
    • Single serving peanut butter packs - with crackers, melba toast or pretzels
    • Single serve oatmeal - you can heat water with your coffee pot
    • Juice boxes

Include some disposable plates, bowls and silverware - then purchase some milk and fruit at Old Port Royale shops and food court (your room will have a mini-refrigerator) and you can have a quick and easy breakfast before you head out the door.

As for snacks, I try to bring a few staples that I know the kids like (granola bars, pretzels etc) but I also like to throw in some treats like chips and fruit roll-ups.  It is much less expensive to buy the variety pack of chips and ship them than to buy the bigger bags in the parks (and the portion is more reasonable for kids).  Since it's not something we typically give them at home, it feels like a treat at the parks.  Try to avoid anything that may melt such as chocolate.

When shipping your package I would address it this way:
    HOLD FOR GUEST:  Your Name
    ARRIVAL DATE:  mm-dd-yyyy
    Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
    900 Cayman Way
    Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-1000

I always allow for one more business day than the shipping company estimates, to account for any internal distribution channels at WDW.

    Hope this helps!
