Hi Sandra,
Thanks you for your question! One of the most amazing things about a Walt Disney World vacation is that it is truly a destination that everyone in your family can enjoy.
The first key to making the most of your vacation with little ones in tow is to
be flexible. When my children were that young, my plan was to not plan. Moods, weather, crowds can all greatly affect how a plan comes together so we opt to avoid disappointment and frustration from things going awry and just go with the flow.
Another important aspect is to
be prepared. A few simple tools we used to really enjoying and extend our days in the parks with little ones were 1) disposable bibs and 2) change of clothes. Having both of these things with me enabled me to just relax and let them enjoy the simpler activities such as eating an ice cream (without the mess) or playing in the squirting fountains (and having dry clothes to change into). In my experience these are small things that when done at the right time, can avert meltdown disasters and allow for additional park time with happy kids.
It looks like you already have my last tip covered...
take a break! By visiting parks in the morning, taking breaks in the afternoon and finding more fun in the evening you can really keep the group recharged and ready to go. Even if it appears as though they can hang on awhile longer, if your kids are anything like mine their demeanor could change in an instant...especially if they are pushed or overstimulated.
I have great confidence that your family will enjoy a wonderful vacation! For More information on traveling to WDW with little ones, click
