Karen, since you are also a DVC member, I was wondering if you'd noticed the difference in transportation to and from the DVC resorts..when we were paying under a MYW package, the bus service was more frequent and dependable .. any suggestions?

    Hi Alexis,

Thanks for your question!  I love hearing from fellow DVC Members, isn't "Welcome Home" one of the best phrases on earth?

We have been fortunate enough to have stayed at every available Disney Vacation Club resort, as well as moderate and deluxe resorts, and I have not noticed an overall difference in the transportation.

I can tell you that there is no distinction between DVC resorts and the Disney resorts when it comes to dispatching and managing the transportation system.  There are rooms at the vacation club resorts that are booked through central reservations, so really they have no way of knowing on a transportation level what type room guests have booked.  I will say that I don't think the system is perfect, and I've had great experiences, and some not-so-great ones but I'm guessing that is just the nature of bus transportation (and my overexcitement and wanting to be there NOW).  For this reason I really like the Boardwalk Villas and Beach Club Villas because they offer two parks we can actually walk to...and if we're in a real adventurous mood we'll walk through Epcot to take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom.  I like the Wilderness Lodge for the boat access to the Magic Kingdom, and I can't wait for Bay Lake Towers to open so we'll have a resort that is walking distance to the Magic Kingdom.

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel, I hope you come back with more questions!
