Kara, in a few short weeks my son will turn 8 {{sigh}}. This year, he has asked to take a friend (who is 10) along to Disney World for his annual birthday trip. We'll probably go in mid/late February. Any tips on making this trip special for them both?

One of the best birthday treats is free!  At each park's Guest Relations, make sure and ask for a birthday pin.  Your son will get lots of birthday wishes and smiles all day long.  If you'd like to arrange for a cake, one can be ordered at 1-407-827-2253.  If you'd really like go all out, the Family Magic Tour is a chance to treasure hunt for Hook's hook that Peter Pan stole; many surprises will happen on this adventure!
If you'd like a list of other guests' experiences, an extensive list of ideas is at www.allearsnet.com through the Beyond the Theme Parks section.  Let me wish your son an early happy birthday!
