Hi Shelby,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question. I visited Walt Disney World Resort with my son when he was 5 months old,13 months old and almost 2 years old and every visit has been magical!
The first tip that I would give you would be to look for attractions that specify that they can be experienced by guests of “any height”. That’s a key indication that you’ll be able to experience an attraction with your daughter. Click over to the
Disney Parks Blog for a handy list of which attractions can be experienced as a family, without worrying about height restrictions.
As for a list of fun things to do with your little girl, check out the
Planning for Pre-School Kids and Little Ones page. It’s filled with great tips and tricks for making their visit to the Walt Disney World Resort extra magical for them.
As for my personal recommendations (well… my son’s recommendations!) for attractions for a little guy at Magic Kingdom Park, I would definitely focus on the Fantasyland attractions, including Peter Pan’s Flight, Dumbo The Flying Elephant (don’t forget to play while you wait!), Meet Mickey at Town Square Theater and Enchanted Tales with Belle. If he likes getting wet, then Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak Station will be sure to be a highlight for him! If your boy is an ice cream lover,
The Plaza Restaurant could give all of you a great break from the heat while you feast on a yummy meal (or just lots of ice cream... Not that I've ever done that...)
Have fun visiting with your little one and have a Magical Day,
Lynne
