in june we are taking our 1yr old son to disney for the first time. i know both water parks do lifejackets but what sizes do they cater for?

    Hi Graham!

Your son will have the time of his little life!  You have done your research - life vests are indeed available free of charge at the Water Parks.  Children's sizes are available in small, medium and large.  I'm not certain if the small size will be snug enough for your little prince.  I would suggest bringing one from home that is certified by the UK's version of the U.S. Coastguard.  I WOULD NOT let him wear arm "floaties," as they are not intended to be life jackets.

The Water Parks are sooo much fun and with a little preparation, you will have a blast!  While at Blizzard Beach, I would be sure to visit Tike's Peak, which is dedicated to guests under 48" tall.  Over at Typhoon Lagoon, he will spend hours splashing around in Ketchakiddie Creek!  Rest assured that both Water Parks are patrolled by highly trained life guards who go above and beyond to ensure guests' safety.  Have a fantastic time and don't forget that sunscreen!

    Much pixie dust,
