In June, we are taking a trip to Disney World. My son will be turning 9 on the second day we are there. We always go to dinner on birthdays, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me if The Crystal Palace is a good place for a birthday dinner?

    Hi Donna,

Crystal Palace restaurant serves buffet meals. It is a character meal in which Winnie the Pooh and his Hundred Acre Wood pals circulate the tables. Kids are invited to march around the restaurant with the characters as well.

If you think your son would like the buffet meal and doesn't mind dining with Winnie the Pooh on his birthday, then this would be a fun restaurant for your family. I know that I'm never too old for Pooh Bear!

I have an 11 year old son so I'll make a few other suggestions but you should definitely choose what is best for your child.

Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness - birthdays are recognized during the show

If your son likes dinosaurs, T-Rex Cafe would be fun. If he loves marine life, try Coral Reef Restaurant in Epcot.

If he'd like a character meal but not with Pooh Bear, try Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort.

For laughs, try Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge or 50s Prime Time Cafe at Disney's Hollywood Studio.

If I can help narrow your choices further or answer more questions about Crystal Palace, feel free to reach out again.

Most of all, happy birthday wishes to your son!!
