We are going in June and staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins. What is the fastest transportation to the parks from Fort Wilderness Cabin area? Online it show a boat ride to The Magic Kingdom and others bus?

    Ronda:

The FASTEST way to get to the parks from your cabin is to take your own car, except for Magic Kingdom.

There. I said it. Now you know that the Mom's Panel gives real-world answers!

Seriously, taking the internal buses to the Outpost to catch another bus to the parks can get laborious at Fort Wilderness and is probably one of the few cons to the resort.  If you have your own car--and have good directions to the parks as Disney does not mark its roads well, in my opinion--you can shave off as much as 30 minutes getting to the parks.

With all that said, though, the reason I don't suggest it for the Magic Kingdom is because you will end up parking your car at the Ticket & Transportation Center and taking either a ferry or the monorail.  For the same amount of effort, you can board the fort's internal bus system to its pier and make the 15-or-so- minute boat ride over.

Wishing y'all a magical vacation at the cabins!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
