Walt Disney World Resort visit is just hours away! I can imagine how excited you must be! Are you all packed?
I want to start by saying that I absolutely love the
Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties! If I am going to add anything to my Disney vacation, this is always at the top of my list, and the pre-party is my favorite choice. When you arrive at 8:30 pm, you will check in at
Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant. Here you will receive a wristband and enjoy a variety of snacks, desserts, and beverages. As the start time for
Happily Ever After nears, Cast members will take you to the special viewing spot known as the Plaza Garden.
Pro Tip: Head to the
back of the viewing area. There is plenty of room for all of the dessert party guests. I like to have the extra space, and you can see just as well, maybe even better.
On Saturday, June 6, Happily Ever After is scheduled for 10 pm.
Disney Starlight Dream the Night Away is scheduled for 9 pm and 11 pm. These times are subject to change, of course, so keep an eye on your My Disney Experience App for any updates. Here are your options:
- Leave the party and head to the private viewing area before the start of the 9 pm Starlight parade. I have not tried this, but I have a friend who did and was let into the area with her wristband. While it isn't a curbside spot, it's not a bad place, but I've heard mixed reviews. The floats are tall, though you will not be able to see some of the lower-level sites. The downside is that you will miss a majority of the dessert party.
- Stay in the Fireworks viewing area after Happily Ever After and watch the 11 pm parade. At this time, the space will be made available to all guests. The later parade tends to be less crowded, so it may be possible to grab a better spot immediately following the fireworks. At least you get to enjoy the dessert party with this option.
- Catch Disney Starlight another night, and enjoy your dessert party. My personal preference is to head to Fantasyland immediately after the fireworks. Many guests head out after Happily Ever After, so the lines tend to be shorter than earlier in the day.
One more thought: There is so much to do at Walt Disney World Resort! No one can do it all in one visit. It looks like you are doing some strategic planning (we love that here at planDisney!), which will help. Keep in mind that weather, crowds, and meltdowns can all impact the best of plans. That doesn't have to take away from the magic, though! You are going to make some incredible memories, no matter what you can fit in or what you end up having to skip.
