Vacation Points to make your magical trip a reality!
DVC math is serious business, and you will usually find me checking and double-checking my numbers when I'm planning our next trip "Home"!
Banking and borrowing gives Members great flexibility in how you use your Vacation Points when you find yourself a little short for a trip, or if you're planning a larger family trip and need a bigger villa. However, there are some restrictions on how they can be used.
Based on your December 2028 vacation plans, the points from your 2026
Use Year (June 1, 2026-May 31, 2027) will
not be able to go toward that trip. Points may only be banked or borrowed one time - so once they are banked into your 2027 Use Year (June 1, 2027-May 31, 2028), they cannot be banked or borrowed for a vacation that falls within the 2028 Use Year. Once banked, the 2026 points will expire on May 31, 2028 if not used.
Kimberly, your 2027 allotment of points
can be banked into 2028, which would give you 300 total Vacation Points to work with when booking your December stay. If you need additional points to make it possible to reserve a specific type of accommodation or a particular view, you can also borrow from your 2029 Use Year and combine those points with the 2027 and 2028 points.
