is June a good time to visit? Are crowds heavy or light? Is June to hot?

Hi Donna! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort can be so fun but also a bit overwhelming trying to figure out the perfect time to arrive. In my opinion if you are planning on vacationing in the summer months, June would be the month that I would choose to visit the Theme Parks. Typically average highs are in the low 90’s and drop down into the mid 70’s in the evening (all temperatures measured in Fahrenheit.) With that being said I am not going to sugar coat it, this time of year can be very hot. However the later summer months tend to be even warmer. If you plan your day good you can visit the parks in the morning, take an afternoon break for lunch and swimming, and then head back to the Theme Parks in the evening. This is exactly how I plan our days and it makes for the perfect days! There is also a lot of attractions and entertainment that are perfect for cooling off in such as Festival of the Lion King.

The summer months draw in a number of guests thanks to summer vacation! In my experience June tends to be much more manageable than say mid July. When I am looking for the perfect week to visit I use a crowd prediction calendar such as Undercover Tourist or Touring Plans. While these predictions are not guaranteed, I have found them to be pretty accurate!

I hope that you find the perfect time to visit! Have an Unforgettable time!
