In June my family is staying at the All Sport resort for 8 days. I have a 15 year old son who is need of contiuning a lifting program he is on for sports. IS there a facility we can go to during our stay? is there a cost and also how far away is it?

Hi Michelle!  There are quite a few fitness centers located at various resorts on property at Walt Disney World. Most of these centers will have free weights and other equipment that might be helpful to our son.  The minimum age to use the centers is 14 and children 14-17 must be accompanied by an adult.

There is a usage fee and most of the time you can purchase a length of stay versus paying on a daily basis. The times and fees vary with each center so be sure and call the resort and inquire when you choose the one that you feel would offer your son the most opportunity. Most centers are attended between the hours of 6:30am-7:00pm. Personal trainers are also available for extra fees.

The two resorts that would be the closest to the All Star resorts would be the Animal Kingdom or Coronado Springs. By car it would take you about 8-10 minutes and by bus about 40 minutes as you would need to change at Blizzard Beach since buses do not run directly between resorts.
