where should I be for the july 4th? we will be there and I have not been there for it before. anyone have a good place as far as the park or place to be during the fire works . and is there a special parade or fireworks during that day

    Hi Tricia!

My family and I spent July 4th there a couple of years ago.  It's a great place to be, but you have to like crowds!  It's one of the busiest times at Walt Disney World and one or two of the parks will often close on that day due to capacity!

All of the parks except Disney's Animal Kingdom will have special fireworks.  Most guests enjoy spending the day in the Magic Kingdom, though I also think that will be the most crowded.  Epcot will also have a lot of guests, but because it is so large, it does a better job handling the crowds.  Disney's Animal Kingdom will be less than average crowd-wise if this year is anything like the recent past.  I think that is because it doesn't have any special night activities and guests are afraid that if they visit that park, they won't be able to get into one of the other parks in the evening (because they might close due to capacity).

My personal favorite park to be in on July 4th is Disney's Hollywood Studios.  It usually has a special fireworks show in addition to its usual offering of Fantasmmic!  Typically, it won't be as crowded as the other parks.

By the way, the Magic Kingdom almost always has a rehearsal of its fireworks show on July 3rd.  If you are going to be there for that night as well, you should visit the Magic Kingdom on that night and go to another park on July 4th.

I hope this helps!  Write back if you have any more questions!
