    Hi Moms - we are going on July 8 (7 night Western Caribbean) and are SO excited. However, I have a medical condition that prevents me from being able to be in the sun AT ALL. Are there cabanas on the ship? Or plenty of shaded pool chairs?

I can feel your excitement about your upcoming 7-Night Western Caribbean Cruise through your question! Before you know it, July will be here and you'll be setting sail aboard the Disney Fantasy to paradise!

    Michelle, I can't even begin to fathom how anxious you must be wondering if there are shaded areas on the deck of the ship. Please let me put your mind at ease and let you know there are many shaded areas you can stay under on the pool deck! The pool deck is located on Deck 11 aboard the Disney Fantasy. You will find areas shaded by the deck above all along the perimeter of Deck 11. You will still get beautiful views of the ocean without the sun beating down on you. There are also comfy cushioned chairs and shaded areas in the adults-only section, Quiet Cove Pool. If you'd like to take a walk outside around Deck 4, you'll find that to have great coverage from the sun, too!

    If I remember correctly, you recently asked a question about booking a coveted private cabana on Castaway Cay. If they're completely sold out for your sailing, I want to assure you that you will find a plethora of lounge chairs shaded by large beach umbrellas and palm trees on the island. I want to mention that the walk from the ship to Castaway Family Beach (or tram stop that will take you to Castaway Family Beach) is uncovered, so you'll want to pack anything you need to keep you covered and safe from the Bahamian sun.
