We are going July 2-6, a last minute trip at a Disney resort. We already have reservations planning to go back Christmas Dec 20-24th. Is there a chance we can change those reservation rates to bounce back rates while there for the 4th?

    Hi Trudy!

Welcome to planDisney!  I love counting down to my next Walt Disney World Resort vacation and you have the excitement of counting down to not one, but two holiday celebrations at Disney this year!

Trudy, the bounceback offers (also called Future Stay Offers) are a fantastic way for returning guests to save money on upcoming vacations.  While at your resort in July, you should be able to find the bounceback offer on your TV and likely on a flyer located in the room.  I was just at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge earlier this month and the current offer stated that you need to call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations either during your stay or within seven days of checking out to book.  Since you already have a resort stay planned, you can speak with the Cast Member to see if you could apply this offer to your current stay or if there is an option to cancel your December reservation and re-book with the bounceback.  It's important to note that the bounceback offer is subject to availability and may also have black-out dates, but the Cast Member will be able to share more with you about any of those details when you call.

When you visit in July, I hope you can enjoy Tiana's Bayou Adventure as it officially opens on June 28, 2024!  We recently learned that both a Virtual Queue and Lightning Lane entry through Disney Genie+ will be available for guests.  I'm sure both will be very popular so I recommend being ready at 7:00 AM on the day of your park visit when both options become available in your My Disney Experience Mobile App.  Also, when you're in Magic Kingdom Park, keep an eye out for any special fireworks for the 4th of July.  We were there over the 4th of July weekend a few years ago and there were some patriotic-themed snacks and entertainment for the holiday.  You can always stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog and see if anything is announced for this year ahead of your trip!

Trudy, I hope you have wonderful time on both of your visits to Walt Disney World Resort this year!  If you have any other vacation planning questions in the future, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney - we're all ears!

    See ya real soon!
