Hello Olivia! Thanks for coming to visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am excited to hear that your family will be making their first-ever visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth! May it be the first of many for your family! Let's see what we can do to make for a special visit for your little Disney Prince! First, be sure to mention to Guest Services at either your hotel or at the Disney Parks that it is your family's first-ever visit. They might have a little something to share to make your visit extra-special!
My sons were even a little younger than your son when they had their first visit! We made sure to visit
Magic Kingdom Park! Here you will find
so many attractions for your son to enjoy! I'll make the following recommendations assuming some height restrictions for your three-year-old. I highly recommend Mickey's PhilharMagic, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, "it's a small world," and Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid. Of course, there are plenty more attractions, but these are my recommendations having visited with my sons at that age. My sons also enjoyed the Haunted Mansion but covered their eyes from time-to-time! I still remind them of that on every trip!
If your son enjoys Disney Junior, Disney movies, Star Wars, or Toy Story then you really need consider
Disney's Hollywood Studios as your second park day. I think your son will enjoy Toy Story Mania!, Lightening McQueen's Racing Academy, Disney Junior Dance Party, Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular, and the nighttime fireworks show entitled Fantasmic! I will also recommend Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway which will be opening in March! While I haven't had a chance to experience this attraction (yet), everything that I have read and seen indicates that this is going to be a very family-friendly ride featuring Mickey and all of his pals! Your son might not reach the height requirement for the
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge attractions, but he will enjoy all of the other Star Wars activities available throughout Disney's Hollywood Studios!
Olivia, I'm sure your son has some favorite Disney Characters that he would love to meet! If this is the case then I am going to recommend that you check out all of the
Character Dining experiences available throughout the Walt Disney World Resort! We took our sons to a few of these during their first trip! It was definitely a highlight for the boys and for us too!
I hope these recommendations have helped with your planning! Feel free to come back and visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel as you continue the countdown to your first-ever visit!
