Hi Denise,
Disney's Beach Club Villas is such a lovely resort. The beach theme is quaint, the quick walk or boat ride to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios makes it so convenient, and there is so much to do around the Crescent Lake area at Disney's Beach and Yacht Club resorts, as well as Disney's BoardWalk. What a great vacation you have in store!
I believe that you are referring to the Albatross Treasure Cruise, one of the
Pirate Adventure Cruises offered by Walt Disney World. The Albatross Treasure Cruise departs from Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, which will make it very convenient for you. I have heard great things about the Pirate Adventure Cruises, so I bet your kids will love it! Please do note that these are for kids 4 through 12 years old, so your youngest would not be able to participate.
The kitchen sink sundae - a huge sundae served in a kitchen sink and with giant spoons - is a delight for families! This sundae is available at
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Beach Club Villas. You can now make a reservation at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, and I recommend that you do as it is very popular! You can do so either using the link I provided, or by calling 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463).
As for recommendations of where your villa will be, I think that this has a lot to do with your family and your preferences. I tend to like a villa on an upper floor for a nice view. Some guests prefer to be near an elevator, or in the villas closest to Epcot.
I would love to help you plan more Denise; however, I am limited in the amount of space that I have to answer. Please do write back if you have any further questions!
