Hello, Gilson!
Thank you so much for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It's a pleasure to help you!
My husband and I just came back from the
Disneyland Resort, and we saw many travelers with their lightsabers at the airport, and they had no problem boarding with them. Actually, the airport security agents had a lot of fun taking a look at them. Luckily, no First Order officials were around at the time!
To make sure that you'll be able to go through security, make sure that your lightsaber is inside the sleeve you will receive. Some airlines consider them as pieces of carry-on luggage, so it's wise to check beforehand so that you can plan your bags accordingly.
We are huge Star Wars fans, and the experience at
Savi's Workshop was remarkable for both of us. We were super impressed and happy. After you assemble your own, unique, sacred lightsaber, don't forget to stop by
Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities. He holds an extensive collection of kyber crystals that can actually be used on your lightsaber, changing the color of your blade. They are surreal. My husband is obsessed with them!
I hope that you have the BEST time at
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in January, Gilson. Once you land in Batuu, make sure to visit
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. My husband and I loved Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs' creations - the Felucian Garden Spread and the Smoked Kaadu Ribs are delicious!
If more questions pop up before you hit hyperdrive, please, don't hesitate to come back. We'll be here to help you save the galaxy!
May the Force and the magic be with you,
Julie
