Hi Jonathan, It’s Jens friend Kristin. Hope you are well. We are planning to head to Orlando. My parents have a time share outside of Disney but we’d like to experience two nights within Disney for the full experience & are looking for guidance/ideas.

Hi Kristin! Thanks for reaching out! Let’s get you started with some Walt Disney World Resort vacation strategies!

It’s great that you want to spend part of your Orlando vacation at a hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection! Staying at a hotel on property truly gives Guests the opportunity to experience the magic from sun up to sun down! You need to take advantage of Early Theme Park entry! Guests staying in any of the Disney Resort Hotels are allowed to enter the parks 30 minutes prior to the scheduled opening time on any day! You’ll be amazed at how much you can accomplish in that time! Also, if you happen to book a stay in a deluxe resort hotel, you can take advantage of the Extended Evening Hours benefit which allows Guests of those resorts to stay in the parks for a few extra hours after the parks officially close! That is a truly amazing benefit!

Kristin, let me recommend some of my favorites! Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (value) is the “Disney-est” of resort hotels! Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort - Gran Destino Tower (moderate) is a great hotel for the value! I feel like I’m getting a deluxe hotel at a moderate price! Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter (moderate) is picture-perfect and gives the feel of a nice vacation getaway! Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort (moderate) is such a beautiful resort with great shops and eateries!  Disney’s Riviera Resort (deluxe) is the newest of the resort hotels! It’s beautiful, in a great location, and has excellent eateries and great pools! Disney’s Yacht Club Resort (deluxe) has the best pools and great eateries! And, I saved the best for last! Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa (deluxe) is in a great location, has the most amazing food, great pools, and feels like a true vacation!

Hopefully this is enough to get your resort hotel vacation planning started! Come on back for more vacation planning tips!
