Hi, Jonas. My family is coming 5/27/12 for 7 days. First day will be traveling & DTD. How would you schedule the next 6 days with 2 each for MK and 1 each for AK & HS? Which days work better for which parks? Thanks for your help. My kids are DS12,

    Hi Rebecca:

I think you are really starting your trip off right by using the first day to recover from traveling and visiting Downtown Disney rather than attacking the Parks. Unless it's an extremely short trip with limited Park time, we always spend the first travel day resting by the pool or hitting the shops and restaurants at Downtown Disney.

With six days at the Parks, I would also default to two days at the Magic Kingdom, two days at Epcot, and one day each at Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. If you find your family really enjoys Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios, you can always trade your second day at Epcot with a third visit to Magic Kingdom or second visit to Hollywood Studios.

It looks like you are visiting during Memorial Day weekend. It's possible the crowds get a bit heavier that weekend. You probably can get several different opinions, but here's how I would spend my days: I would spend Monday the 28th at the Magic Kingdom, Tuesday at Hollywood Studios, Wednesday Magic Kingdom, Thursday at Epcot, Friday at Animal Kingdom, and wrap up Saturday at Epcot. If you'd rather have your Magic Kingdom days further apart, you could switch Monday at Magic Kingdom with Saturday at Epcot (therefore visiting Epcot on Monday the 28th and Magic Kingdom on Saturday your last day).

    Enjoy your vacation.
