If I am joined by friends one night for dinner (at O'hana) can I use my Disney Dining Plan credits (table service credits) to pay for their meals? For example, I would be joined by 4 friends - could I use 4 of my credits to pay for their meals?

    Hi Lora,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question. ‘Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort was where we had our wedding rehearsal dinner when my husband and I got married at Walt Disney World Resort a decade ago. You and your friends are in for a truly memorable feast if you’re planning to dine there during your upcoming vacation.

As you may know, the way that the Disney Dining Plan works is that all of your room party’s entitlements (i.e. credits) are put into a dining “account” when you check in to your Disney Resort Hotel. You can then use them as you see fit, throughout your stay. If you choose to use some of your entitlements to pay for people who aren’t staying with you, that should be perfectly fine, but please be aware that you might be short entitlements later on during your vacation so you may have to pay “out of pocket” for some of your meals.

I hope my answer helps you plan the perfect visit and a memorable night for you and your friends during your upcoming Disney Parks vacation. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
