I just joined DVC today and I curious how many years in advance can I borrow points from? I would like to somewhat cancel xmas and do a big fam, trip in disney!

    Hi Cynthia,

Congratulations on becoming a Disney Vacation Club Member!  I know you will enjoy many years of magical vacations!   I am not sure when your Use Year begins since you just joined.  You will be able to utilize three years worth of your points since you can bank one year and borrow from the year ahead.   Banking your points will mean you take this year's points (not use them) and put them in your 2013 account.  If your vacation is in 2013, you can borrow from your 2014 points to use three years worth of points.  So if your Use Year is in December, you can use 2012 and 2013 points toward a visit for this Christmas.  If you wait until next Christmas, you can use three years worth of points.  Please let me know if I can help you further, Cynthia.  I am so excited for you!  Make sure check out the DVC website for more helpful tips.  Go to to register.  Welcome Home!
