Intergalactic Greetings, Thomas!
Welcome to planDisney. Thank you for sending us your “impressive, most impressive” question about joining the
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance virtual queue.
It’s clear the Force is with you, Thomas. As a Florida native and Walt Disney World local, I have experienced joining the
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance virtual queue many times! I hope I can help you better understand the process and help you join the Resistance in an epic battle against the First Order.
First and foremost, you must have a valid
Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket or annual pass linked to your
My Disney Experience account. Additionally, you must have a
Disney Parks Pass reservation for Disney’s Hollywood Studios on the day you wish to join the virtual queue.
You will be able to access the virtual queue and join available boarding groups beginning at 7 a.m. ET on the day of your reservation. This can be done from the comfort of your Disney Resort hotel or home if you live nearby! Guests no longer need to be in the theme park to request a boarding pass when the first round of passes are available. However, boarding passes run out at “hyper-speed”. I suggest opening the My Disney Experience application, scrolling down to the “Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance — Request Access with Virtual Queue” section, and clicking “Join” before 7 a.m. ET. Keep this page open and swipe down on the screen during the final minutes leading up to 7 a.m. ET. to refresh the screen. As soon as it is 7 a.m. ET, you will be able to click “Join” again, enter your party, and request a boarding group. You must be fast, Thomas! The Resistance needs your help.
If you are not able to join a group at 7 a.m. ET, you will be able to try again at 1 p.m. ET. You must be inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios to try to grab a boarding group during the 1 p.m. ET distribution.
Quick Tip: Don’t forget that your entire party must be linked and assigned a ticket in your My Disney Experience account if you would like to join a boarding group together. You can create your party by visiting the
Friends & Family section of your Disney account.
Thomas, I hope I have helped answer your question. If you have any additional questions, we are always here to help you plan your travels to a galaxy far, far away.
May the Force be With You,
Priscila
