If I join the 7am virtual queue for a Magic Kingdom attraction and get a late boarding group can I enter Animal Kingdom as my first park (with a park hopper ticket) then hop to Magic Kingdom closer to my boarding time?

    Hey there, Kim!

Welcome to planDisney. We're delighted you've dropped by with an excellent Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question! It sounds like you're gearing up for a thrill-filled day at The Most Magical Place on Earth. How exciting! Let's chat about how you can maximize the magic during your day at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.

Kim, since your theme park tickets include the Park Hopper option, you'll be able to "hop" between all four theme parks within the same day. This will enable you to experience thrills all throughout the Walt Disney World Resort in a single day! I'm happy to inform you that, with your theme park ticket type, you should be eligible to join the virtual queue for TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom Park while still starting your day at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. I do recommend taking a screenshot of your virtual queue, once secured, in case it disappears as a result of park hopping. Some Guests have reported this happening as a glitch within the My Disney Experience mobile app. (That silly Vanellope von Schweetz!)

Alternatively, if your theme park admission type requires you to have a theme park reservation for your starting park, a Cast Member has shared that you may only be able to secure a virtual queue for that first park at 7:00 a.m. In this case, I recommend staying the course, visiting the theme park you intended to visit first, then hopping at your leisure any time throughout the day. If this is the case for you, Kim, and you start your day at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park, you should still have the chance to enter the virtual queue during the second drop at 1:00 p.m. as long as you're inside Magic Kingdom Park at that time. If you have any additional questions about this process during the day, you can always stop by a Guest Experience Team umbrella in any of the theme parks for more help!

Kim, I hope you've found this information helpful and I wish you a thrill-filled day at the Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any more questions throughout your vacation, you're always welcome to revisit us here at planDisney. We're here to help you maximize the fun factor during your time at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

    See ya real soon,
