    Hi Can you join a virtual line for Guardians of the Galaxy before you arrive in the park itself or you need to be present in Epcot?

    I’m so glad you stopped by with this question, because I love Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! I bet you are more than a little excited to experience it on your holiday to The Most Magical Place on Earth next week. The answer to your question is a little tricky, so let me break it down for you.

    • At 7:00 a.m., Guests do not have to physically be in EPCOT and can join the Virtual Queue from essentially anywhere. You must have valid theme park admission and a Theme Park Reservation at EPCOT in order to join the Virtual Queue at this time.
    • You will have another chance to join the Virtual Queue at 1:00 p.m. if you missed out at 7:00 a.m., but you must physically be in EPCOT to do so. Again, you must have valid theme park admission and a Theme Park Reservation at EPCOT in order to join at this time.
    • Finally, if you are staying at a Deluxe Resort hotel and will be participating in Extended Evening Theme Park Hours on a night they are offered at EPCOT, you will have an additional opportunity to join the Virtual Queue at 6:00 p.m. You do not need to be in EPCOT to do so but must either have a Theme Park Reservation at EPCOT or have a theme park ticket with the Park Hopper Option.
    Regardless of the time of day you are trying, you will need to go to the home screen in your My Disney Experience mobile app, scroll down until you see the Virtual Queue feature, and click on “Join Virtual Queue.” Make sure you’ve enabled notifications for the My Disney Experience app on your smart device in order to receive updates on the status of your Boarding Group.

    If you aren’t able to snag a Boarding Group via the Virtual Queue, you always have the option of purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane entry for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind via the Tip Board in your app. Guests of Disney Resorts Collection hotels can purchase Individual Lightning Lanes beginning at 7:00 a.m., while all other Guests must wait until the official park opening time.
