I just arrived back on Earth today after an incredible trip to Batuu to check out
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, the brand new attraction at
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. It just opened last week and it has exceeded the very high expectations of every Disney and Star Wars fan I know! Star Wars has always been an important part of my life, and I'm not afraid to admit to you that I cried a little bit when it was all over. The experience was incredible and over-the-top in all the best possible ways!
If you want to ride
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance when you're at
Disney's Hollywood Studios, you will need to
join a boarding group using the
My Disney Experience app. When you open the app, you'll be greeted immediately with the option to get a boarding pass. Tap "Find Out More" and you'll be taken to a page with a button that says "Join Boarding Group". Tap that button and select the members of your party who would like to ride! You'll be given a number and an approximate time of day when you'll be able to board. Keep an eye on the app and the digital displays around the Theme Park so you'll know the moment your group is called. You'll have two hours from when your boarding group is called to enter the queue and ride. Keep in mind that all of your party members must have scanned their tickets or
MagicBands at the entrance gate in order to join a boarding group. When I was there this week, boarding groups ended distribution very early in the morning, before 8 a.m., so I recommend getting there as early as possible because the early bird catches the Kowakian Monkey-Lizard!
