Can we join our kid/grandkids for a lunch at Tuskegee house if we are going to Epcot that day

    Hi DeDe,

It's great to see you again at planDisney. By modeling the never grow up mentality for your family's younger generations on your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation, you'll officially attain "cool parent/grandparent" status. Seeing the magic through your child's and now your grandchildren's eyes is the ultimate souvenEAR.

Tusker House in Disney's Animal Kingdom park is a deliciously popular character dining experience. My family found the food so delicious, a Cast Member even sent us the recipe for the Cape Malay Chicken Curry a few years ago. I see the Cape Malay Green Curry Shrimp is currently on the menu, which gives my taste buds something to dream about.

Advance recommendations for Tusker House are highly recommended and can be made online up to 60 days in advance. If you have tickets with the Park Hopper Option and can find an advance dining reservation or modify an existing dining reservation to accommodate your entire party after park hopping hours begin at 2:00 p.m., you are welcome to experience this dining adventure together. I'd allow 15 minutes to walk from Animal Kingdom's entrance to Tusker House, which means a 2:30 p.m. reservation would be ideal. To get from EPCOT to Disney's Animal Kingdom park using Disney transportation, you'd exit the park via the International Gateway entrance by the United Kingdom pavilion in World Showcase and walk to nearby Disney's Beach Club Resort to access their theme park buses. I'd allow an hour for transit between parks.

Alternately, Disney's Animal Kingdom park closes earlier than the other parks most nights. After their Animal Kingdom day, your family could take a bus to Disney's BoardWalk Inn, also walking distance from EPCOT's International Gateway entrance, where you could join them for some quick-service pizza and/or BoardWalk Ice Cream. The benefit of this option is there are no theme park or dining reservations required.

Wherever your family's core memories are made, DeDe, embrace each other and the time spent together at The Most Magical Celebration on Earth.

    Never grow up,
    Jennifer
